P&G’s Global Target: Shelves of Tiny Stores –

P&G is planning on increasing sales by targeting poor women living in developing countries with single-use products. They find that since these consumers will not be stocking up on goods anytime soon that smaller portions will be the way to capture their attention.
This is a very interesting article, and so different from American culture where we usually assume that bigger is a better value.

The consumer-products giant has a goal of increasing total sales by 5% to 7% annually over the next three years. As part of that mission, it is looking to tap roughly one billion additional consumers — most of them very poor women who live in developing countries.
