A new Maritz Poll shows that Gen Y is split down the middle when it comes to deciding which retailer to shop at based on their environmental policy. 54% say that the policy of the retailer would not affect where they shop. Unfortunately, the reality is that these types of decisions are still coming down to convenience.

    It’s amazing that Gen Y isn’t leaning more towards environmentally friendly shopping. It appears that wisdom does come with age. 🙂 Thanks for the information.

    If you have a chance, check out my blog post today on Retail Design Diva about retailers who are making major steps towards being environmentally friendly. It’s pretty amazing. Office Depot even reduced its carbon emissions by 10% despite adding 1.7 million more sq. ft. in stores.
